Who am I?

I’ve been a stay-at-home wife and mother for over 28 years.  My husband and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary this past February.  Even though our children are all grown now and away from home, I still pride myself on being a homemaker. I started this blog to share some of the knowledge I’ve acquired over the years.

I’m also a crafts person; sewing, knitting, crocheting, plus more.

I’m a retired army wife.  My husband retired from the Canadian army in August of 2000 after 25 years of service.  It was a hard life sometimes, but it was a good life.   We’ve gone on to have some wonderful adventures but we will always treasure our times as part of the military community.

The first big adventure we had after leaving the military was moving to Maui.  And during our time there, it became home of my heart.  So now, you could say I’m a Hawaiian in exile, hoping to someday find a way to return to Paradise.
