Two More Gift Bags and Some Furoshiki
Posted by supermom on March 5, 2011
I was so pleased with the way the embroidered gift bag in this post turned out that I decided I wanted to make some more. To that end, last month, I stitched up three more embroideries. The two done in redwork were turned into these gift bags which were completed late last night (or rather very early this morning):
The patterns are both Gail Pan free Christmas stitcheries. This one is from 2008.
And this from 2010:
To switch things up a bit I did the next one in bluework.
And as you can see, it is still waiting for me to find the perfect fabric to go with it before it too gets made into a gift bag. The design is by Barbara Parrish and is available here.
In February, I also made up three more furoshiki. The two on the bottom are 36” square and the top one is the more traditional 28” square.
I really like how quick these are to sew and they are also a great way to feature a fantastic print like the one on the bottom right.
